The first time I met Claudia at @bloomenergytherapy, she explained to me that it was possible to flip through an album of each ‘version’ of myself to check in where healing was needed. If I came upon a year where no healing was required, that version could stay right where it was.
On the eve of this year’s Spring Equinox, I think back to this girl: September 1997, 21 years old, fresh out of university with no real plan, searching for acceptance and belonging.
Having just seen Daft Punk live at the Rage, the “Laura the raver era” commenced.
“Laura the raver.”
It was a time of “PLUR”: Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. This wildly fun time sparked a love for EDM that I had forgotten about until recently.
A year later, Lauryn Hill released Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. To this day, this album sparks so much joy!
A few weeks ago, something nudged me to listen to it while out for a walk. When I returned home, I put on Bob Marley.
Notes from my mediation that day:
* “We are all connected”
* “I am yours; you are mine.”
* “Gratitude.”
Texts with my Mediumship Sister Laura S @laura_theauramedium that afternoon:
Me: “That’s the secret. We are all connected. One love.”
Laura S: “To feel the connection of human love is the fucking goal here on earth!! Please journal this day…Laura this is massive.
This is a soul remembering… Yeah, Aquarius power to the people. And we just had the eclipse in Aquarius.”
Me: “It was the lyric, “One Love” that made me put the album on. Power to the people!”
Laura S: “Yes, girl!! Full friggin body chills right now.”
Laura P: “Everything Lisa @northvanmediumlisa was saying the other day about trying to have all the answers. I need to just chill.”
“Chilling” = realizing that the more I tried to control outcomes, the harder things got. The more I sought answers, the more confused I got.
An old friend told me, “You just got to believe and do the right thing.” Healing this version of myself happened when I realized that the right thing is listening to my OWN heart and intuition.
It took a while to get here, but consider this lesson learned, Universe! Thank you, I’m so grateful. 🙏🏻
